Abstract: Despite the great importance of designing innovative business models, a validated methodology that helps related process is still not available. To fill this gap, this research introduces business model management concepts that consider business models as individual entities that can be systematically developed and managed by utilizing science based methodology. This study mainly focuses on proposing business model evaluation and deployment framework by applying analytic network process (ANP), a multi multiple criteria decision-making method and portfolio matrix strategy. The proposed evaluation method is designed to consider both internal and external perspectives where internal perspective is measured through ANP method by employees, while external perspective is measured through customer survey by in-depth interview. The obtained values from ANP and customer survey are then used to construct the business model portfolio matrix for continuous business model management. To this end, this study identifies 12 criteria within three different categories employed in ANP analysis and business model portfolio matrix, respectively. The proposed framework for managing business models provides new insights to both practitioners and academics. It regards business models as individual entities and introduces a way to practically apply the business model concept. It also provides managers with guidelines to manage business model alternatives in terms of evaluation, selection, and continuous management. Finally, because this study is, to the best of our knowledge, one of the first attempts to employ the portfolio management concept in business model research, it can function as the foundation for future applied business model research. Abstract: This paper demonstrates our proposed Reuse Strategic Decision Pattern Framework (RSDPF) based on blending ANP and TOPSIS techniques, enabled by the OSM model with data analytics. The motivation, related work, theory, the use and deployment, and the service deployment of the framework have been discussed in details. In this paper, RSDPF framework is demonstrated by the data analysis and interpretations based on a financial service firm. The OSM model allows 3 step of processed to be performed in one go to perform statistical tests, identify linear relations, check consistency on dataset and calculate OLS regression. The aim is to identify the actual, expected and risk rates of profitability. Code and services can be reused to compute for analysis. Service integration of the RSDPF framework has been demonstrated. Results confirm that there is a high extent of reliability. In this paper, we have demonstrated the reuse and integration of the framework supported by the case study of the financial service firm with its data analysis and service to justify our research contributions – reuse and integration in statistical data mining, knowledge and heuristic discovery and finally domain transference. Abstract: This study examines the organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) of employees by designing and developing an analytic network process (ANP) methodology. The viability of the proposed methodology is demonstrated via the sales representatives of Beko, a brand name controlled by Koç Group. We first develop a conceptual framework based on qualitative research methods – in-depth interviews and focus group sessions. We employ the principles of ANP methodology to examine and discover the inter-relationships among the OCBs. This process results in a descriptive model that encapsulates the findings from both qualitative and analytics methods. Necessity, altruism, departmental, compliance, and independence are the underlying dimensions of OCBs found to be the most influential/important. The key novelty of this study resides in designing and developing a prescriptive analytics (i.e. ANP) methodology to evaluate the OCBs, which is rare in the area of organizational behavior (a managerial field of study that have been dominated by traditional statistical methods), and thus serves as a useful contribution/augmentation to the business/managerial research methods, and also extends the reach/coverage of analytics-based decision support systems research and practice into a new direction. Abstract: The importance of advertising media evaluation as a multifaceted problem is well known by both academics and practitioners. Although previous studies tried to optimize media evaluation, there still are some gaps and problems to address, particularly in areas of flexibility of models/frameworks, decision making quality, tension management, and agility of the evaluation process. Most of previous studies are based on inflexible models/frameworks that have limitations on number of criteria/alternatives they can consider and type of data they can process. A great volume of the work used arbitrary decision making; arbitrary decision making regarding criteria and media importance may reduce effectiveness of advertising campaigns. Furthermore, the academic literature offers little guidance on group decision aggregation, and tension management during decision making is neglected. Media evaluation is a time taking process and any acceleration will reduce pre-campaign costs. The main aim of this paper is to illustrate how a group decision support system (GDSS) can assist media planners to overcome mentioned problems more systematically. For this purpose, we developed a GDSS that is an integration of three well-known multi-criteria decision making techniques. With a real world case study, we illustrate the performance of the proposed GDSS. Results of our quantitative assessments indicate that the GDSS is flexible, allows decision makers to express their opinions, reduces tension among decision makers, and saves time. Collapse

Abstract: The main purpose of this study is to present a novel and useful application of a specific analytical technique to indicate the interactions and calculate the ranking of the barriers of electronic commerce (EC) in the Iran Khodro industrial group, a leading Iranian automotive company, using the combination of two techniques: interpretive structural modeling (ISM) and the fuzzy analytical network process (FANP). Based on an in-depth review of the relevant literature and interviews with managers and experts from the company, thirteen barriers and challenges to the implementation of e-commerce were determined and categorized into four main factors: technical, organizational, individual, and environmental. In the following step, the ISM technique is applied to construct a structural graph and identify inherent interactions among these barriers. The FANP is then used to quantify the relationships and weigh the significance of these barriers. The results obtained from the proposed model reveal that a “lack of awareness regarding the benefits and nature of electronic commerce” is the most important barrier to the implementation of e-commerce. This type of modeling approach can be extremely valuable for companies that wish to focus their efforts and resources on removing the most important barriers and challenges toward the successful implementation of EC. Abstract: E-government challenges are well researched in literature and well known by governments. However, being aware of the challenges of e-government implementation is not sufficient, as challenges may interrelate and impact each other. Therefore, a systematic analysis of the challenges and their interrelationships contributes to providing a better understanding of how to tackle the challenges and how to develop sustainable solutions. This paper aims to investigate existing challenges of e-government and their interdependencies in Tanzania. The collection of e-government challenges in Tanzania is implemented through interviews, desk research and observations of actors in their job. In total, 32 challenges are identified. The subsequent PESTEL analysis studied interrelationships of challenges and identified 34 interrelationships. The analysis of the interrelationships informs policy decision makers of issues to focus on along the planning of successfully implementing the existing e-government strategy in Tanzania. The study also identified future research needs in evaluating the findings through quantitative analysis. Collapse

Abstract: In practice most organisational decisions are made by groups that bring into the problem multiple perspectives, both complementary and contradictory. When having a group of decision makers, usually individuals’ preferences are either led to consensus or are aggregated with the use of some function like the median, the arithmetic or geometric mean. We focus in the second case, where individual’s preferences need to be aggregated. Our approach is based on the fact that when two decision makers are asked to give their preference between a pair of criteria using a specific scale, it is possible that they will give slightly different answers, even when they actually have the same opinion. This difference will not affect the case of a single decision maker, as it will be consistent throughout the whole process. However, it can affect a group decision when the values will be used as an input for the aggregation function. A novel approach is presented that enhances group decision making through a group calibration process. The proposed process adjusts individuals’ preferences based on their answers on a set of standardized questions prior to the aggregation phase. The method focuses The whole concept is applied to the group analytical network process method and it is illustrated through a telecommunications project case. The decision under examination concerns the selection of the right place for deploying a new telecom service of a multinational-based telecommunications company where a group of geographically dispersed decision makers form an ad-hoc virtual team in order to select the location for a new technical support centre. Abstract: This paper presents a comparison between fuzzy cognitive maps (FCM) and the fuzzy analytic network process (FANP) as two well-known techniques to model causality during the process of assessing readiness of an organisation to implement a change. FCM is well known generally, but has been rarely used in assessing readiness for change. In this paper, we demonstrate several advantages of FCM for change readiness assessment. We show that the FCM technique gives similar result to FANP where expected, but allows more complex interrelationships to be modeled where necessary. Collapse

Abstract: Both theoretical and practical efforts to evaluate ecotourism development often neglect alternative characteristics that may interact with and mutually influence the primary indicators. To evaluate the sustainability of an ecotourism site, this study utilizes subjective measures to analyze the relationships among tourism, resources, community, economy and society. Yangshan Ecological Park in Kinmen is examined to demonstrate the implementation of the proposed integrated framework in ecotourism development. First, the Fuzzy Delphi Method was applied to select the critical factors. Local residents, tourists and resource administrators were interviewed to explore each group’s perception of relationships. Then, Interpretive Structural Modeling was employed to determine the interrelationship among the critical factors. A Fuzzy Analytic Network process model was constructed to evaluate the potential sustainability of ecotourism and the relative importance the weights of the criteria and sub-criteria. The study provides a valuable integrated tool for sustainable destination management. Collapse
