Abstract: The recent COVID-19 pandemic has served to highlight the benefits of digital health in general and telehealth in particular. One area of telehealth that is particularly important is that of teleassessment. Currently, we are witnessing an exponential growth in total knee and total hip replacements (TKR) (THR) due to an aging population coupled with longer life expectancy which is leading to a high likelihood of an unsustainable burden for healthcare delivery in Australia. To address this imminent challenge, the following proffers a tele-assessment solution, ARIADNE (Assist foR hIp AnD kNEe), that can provide high quality care, with access for all and support for high value outcomes. A fit viability assessment is provided to demonstrate benefits of the proffered solution. Collapse

Abstract: Blockchain technology has the promise of transforming security and trust in digital transactions. However, concerns about technical complexity and the benefits of deployment have blunted its adoption. We examine factors that influence managerial intention to adopt blockchain technology. We extend the fit-viability model (FVM) and develop a value-based technology adoption model through an empirical study of 242 managers mostly in medical and financial industries. Managers in such organizations are likely to consider fit and viability in adopting blockchain technology to store and protect data. Drawing upon Fit-Viability and Task-Technology Fit models, and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), we test a model with Partial Least Squares (PLS) to assess managers' intention to adopt blockchain technology. Our findings indicate that functional and symbolic benefits have positive impact on managers' assessment of task-technology fit. Furthermore, viability is an important criterion in adopting blockchain technology. Collapse

Abstract: Today there exists a plethora of mobile apps focused on diabetes self-management. To understand the rate of inclusion and influences of these numerous diabetes mobile apps (DMAS), we crowdsourced and analyzed negative users’ comments and the design features of numerous apps, underpinned by fit viability and grounded theory as the theoretical analysis lens. Thus, by concentrating our efforts on apps written in English collected from google play and apple app store, we identified and classified DMAS as a health monitoring app (HMAS) and information repository apps (IRAS), and statistically determined the effects of different diabetes self-management indicators on their functionalities. Our results affirm that these solutions have limited functionalities to facilitate selfmanagement of diabetes due to poor design which hinders intelligent decision support, as well as limits inclusion and performance of wellness support features. Also, many of these apps are operationally inefficient. Collapse

Abstract: Master Data Management (MDM) is an approach for effective management of shared master data across organizations. In the public sector, MDM initiatives have been developed; however, the adoption among local government remains slow and there has been little interest in MDM adoption in extant research. Building on a Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework, a conceptual model which highlights a set of potential determinants affecting the adoption of MDM by local government was developed. To validate the model, data were collected via survey from 224 responses from Malaysian local government department units. Using SEMPLS, the study confirmed that data quality and data governance are two determinants of MDM adoption specific to the context of Malaysian local government, and four other determinants – complexity, top management support, technological competence, and citizen demand – are found to have significant effects on MDM adoption by local government. Surprisingly, three determinants – relative advantage, data security, and government policy – are found to have non-significant relationships to the adoption of MDM by local government. In addition, top management support is revealed to be a cornerstone of MDM technological competence in local government. The study contributes to the theoretical, contextual, and practical knowledge of MDM and IT adoption in the context of local government. Collapse

Abstract: En la actualidad se observa que las aplicaciones móviles están siendo cada vez más utilizadas posiblemente debido a la rápida adopción de dispositivos y a la facilidad de uso con la también creciente conectividad a Internet. Sin embargo, todavía se observa que la adopción de estas aplicaciones móviles para lograr productividad en las organizaciones es relativamente escasa en comparación a las aplicaciones de ocio y socialización. Por ello, las aplicaciones móviles orientadas a la productividad en las empresas requieren un mayor estudio de la percepción de los tomadores de decisiones en la adopción. Este trabajo de investigación propone usar el modelo de ajuste-viabilidad, utilizado en adopción de comercio móvil, para estudiar el desempeño de la adopción de aplicaciones móviles en las empresas. El resultado del estudio confirma que el modelo es apropiado y pronostica un desempeño positivo cuando se observa ajuste entre tecnología y tarea así como viabilidad de adopción. Collapse

Abstract: Abs trac t E-Government development and diffusion have emerged as fundamental issues for both researchers and practitioners across the globe. Understanding electronic government maturity requires an investigation of its antecedents and an evaluation of facilitating factors that influence the progress of online government information, tools, and services from diffusion to eventual adoption. The purpose of this study is to investigate electronic government maturity and its determinants. In particular, we use the Fit-Viability Framework to assess of e-Government Maturity. The results of partial least squares (PLS) analysis indicate that task-technology fit characteristics account for over 59 percent of the variance in fit. Combined with the country's viable resources, e-government development accounted for 82 percent of the variance in the model. Implications for research and practice are discussed. Collapse

Abstract: Decision making in virtual teams is gaining momentum due to globalization, mobility of employees, and the need for collective and rapid decision making by members who are in different locations. These factors resulted in a proliferation of virtual team software support tools for decision making, the latest of which is social software (also known as collaboration 2.0), which includes tools such as wikis, blogs, microblogs, discussion forums, and social networking platforms. This paper describes the potential use of collaboration 2.0 software for improving the process and the specific tasks in virtual group decision making. The paper proposes a framework for exploring the fitness between social software and the major activities in the group decision making process and how such tools can be successfully adopted. Specifically, we use a fit-viability model to help assessing whether social software fit a decision task and what organizational factors are important for such tools to be effective.
