Abstract: With the proliferation and popularity of mobile phones, mobile learning has become an integral part of higher education. However, intention to continue using mobile technology in educational context has not been extensively researched. In this paper, we integrate commitment into the expectation confirmation model and use it to examine students' intention to continue using an interactive mobile learning system in learning. The findings indicate that confirmation, perceived usefulness and satisfaction are important factors to motivate students continuously adopting mobile learning system. Collapse

Abstract: University students seem primed for mobile learning (m-learning) given their affinity with technology and the ubiquity of mobile computing devices on campuses. However such conditions do not necessarily guarantee their readiness for mlearning. For m-learning to thrive in higher education, it is crucial to understand the factors propelling its adoption. Accordingly this study uncovers factors that drive the adoption of m-learning among university students. Using a mobile learning readiness model based on the Theory of Planned Behavior, data was collected from 900 undergraduates in a local, public university in Malaysia. Partial least squares analysis revealed that all three constructs of attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavioral control significantly influenced students’ intention to adopt m-learning. These three constructs were significantly predetermined by their respective external beliefs components. In fostering m-learning adoption among students, more emphasis should be expended to capitalize on subjective norm and improve perceived behavioral control. Collapse

Abstract: The increasing number of university students in Europe leads to an increasing student-to-lecturer ratio which finally results in a lower quality of studying experience. Thus, lecturers have to find new possibilities to adapt to the changing circumstances. This is particularly important in disciplines of natural sciences, as they integrate field trips in their curriculum, which require small groups of students. To be able to offer field trips in the future, one possible solution is to combine them with mobile learning application to enable autodidactic field trips. As prior research already showed that mobile learning applications can support autodidactic activities in education, the aim of this study is to design and develop a mobile learning application to support field trips. The existing research about designing such applications is limited, especially regarding needed requirements. Abstract: Recent years have witnessed rapid advancement in mobile learning technology. A major issue is the identification of the factors that would relate to the diverse needs of users. If mobile learning is intended to enhance distance, interactive, and collaborative learning, then it is mission critical to understand the impact of individual, social, and technological factors that would play a role in the effectiveness of this learning model as perceived by its users. This paper addresses this need by proposing an integrated and a holistic model that depicts the factors that may have the potential to impact the perceived mobile learning effectiveness. To operationalize the model constructs, a survey-based instrument will be developed based on a review of frameworks pertinent to technology acceptance, diffusion of innovation, and media richness, and of literature related to e-learning. The conceptual model will be discussed, and the study conclusion, implications, and limitations will be presented. Collapse
