Abstract: Facing ever-looming climate change, studying the drivers for individuals ' Information Systems (IS) Use to reduce environmental harm gains momentum. While extant research on the antecedents of sustainable IS Use has focused on specific theories, interventions, contexts, and technologies, a holistic understanding has become increasingly elusive, with a synthesis remaining absent. We employ a systematic literature review methodology to shed light on the driving antecedents for sustainable IS Use among individual consumers. Our results build on findings of 29 empirical studies drawn from 598 articles retrieved from our premier outlets and a forward/backward search. The analysis reveals six salient complementary antecedents: Relief, Empowerment, Default, User-centricity, Salience, and Encouragement. We recommend considering these concepts when developing, deploying, promoting, or regulating digital technologies to mitigate individual consumers' emissions. Along with memorable and implementable concepts, our theoretical framework offers a novel conceptualization and four promising avenues for researchers on sustainable IS Use. Collapse

Abstract: The rise in distraction-related traffic accidents necessitates in-car infotainment systems that prioritize safety, as current systems often prioritize entertainment and convenience, contributing to the high number of distracted driving fatalities. Therefore, this paper applied a design science research approach to develop a design theory for Augmented Automotive Spaces that holistically consider safety, interface, interaction, and attention requirements. The main artifact is a design theory intended to help researchers and practitioners understand the design requirements and principles of intuitive, immersive, and attentiongrabbing infotainment user interfaces that enhance safety and overall mobility experience. The design theory was further implemented in a prototypical reference scenario and positively evaluated for developmental usefulness, conciseness, explanatory power, and extendibility. Overall, the authors' work contributes to the research areas of user interface design, infotainment, automotive information systems, and safety measures as well as providing a comprehensive guideline for the development of immersive and safe automotive infotainment systems. Abstract: The adoption of augmented reality (AR) has been one of the defining technological trends of the past decade. While AR has experienced significant growth in consumer electronics, its potential for professional use still needs to be explored. Despite the growing interest in AR, determining its feasibility and potential to satisfy business needs remains challenging. To address this gap, we used a mixedmethod research approach to create a guiding framework called the process augmentability canvas. Drawing on a comprehensive case study of a major European maintenance, repair, and overhaul service provider, as well as state-of-the literature, we present a canvas that allows scholars and practitioners to evaluate AR's applicability for a given process thoroughly. By providing a structured approach to analyzing AR solutions, the process augmentability canvas contributes to a better understanding of how AR can be used efficiently in organizational settings. Abstract: This paper tests the meta-analysis based unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (meta-UTAUT) model to predict the behavioral intentions of organizational users and their use behavior to artificial intelligence (AI) integrated customer relationship management (CRM) systems. Data was collected from 315 organizational users in India. The hypotheses draw on the theoretical underpinnings which have been statistically validated. Results show that CRM quality and satisfaction significantly influences an organization’s employees attitudes and intentions to use AI integrated CRM systems. The compatibility of CRM systems has, however, a limited impact on employees attitudes. The findings, which are aligned with the extended UTAUT model, provide useful insights into organizations and decision-makers for designing AI integrated CRM systems. Collapse

Abstract: With the explosive growth of mobile phone users, individuals are getting used to using mobile phones to get various services. Mobile government, as one of important channels to provide official government services, has been paid increasingly attention recently. In order to discover the critical influence factors of individual attitude and behavioral intention, a meta-analysis method was used to construct a comprehensive framework for individual mobile government adoption and find out the moderating role of economic development level, based on 38 related empirical research publications. We would like to figure out the results from meta-analysis and moderator analysis. Both theoretical and practical implications are going to yield through these findings. Collapse

Abstract: A well-known approach to managing and controlling workflows in organizations is the workflow management system (WFMS). Recently, approaches utilizing augmented reality headsets as WFMS front ends have been discussed, enabling higher efficiency, effectiveness, and usability for certain application scenarios. However, existing design-oriented approaches lack tangible guidance for implementation. A well-known approach to address such knowledge gaps is a reference architecture, which inter alia reduces development times and risks and facilitates collaboration between developers. Based on an existing tentative design theory for an augmented reality-based WFMS front end, we contribute a reference architecture containing an extended design theory, user interface design, and UML models for use cases, components, classes, and sequence flows. The reference architecture was successfully operationalized in a prototype and positively evaluated via a survey of respective users. Collapse

Abstract: Smartwatches are wearable devices intended to be smartphone companions that capture health data and ease access to notifications. They have also become personalisable standing as a fashion statement. This combination resulted in staggering adoption rates recently leading to question whether smartwatch users’ choice and use satisfaction emerge from utility features or from its fashion characteristics. This paper proposes and validates a fit theory to investigate the antecedents of adopters’ satisfaction. Besides evaluating fit with identity, the model assesses both perceived and actual task-technology fit of smartwatches. A questionnaire-based quantitative approach is used to collect data from about 300 smartwatch users in Qatar. To test the proposed model, data is analysed using structural equation modeling (SEM) and artificial neural networks (ANN). Furthermore, ANN sensitivity analysis ranks the importance of the fit factors affecting users’ choice during pre- and post-adoption stages. Both task-technology and technology-identity fit factors are quasi-equally important in explaining 62% of satisfaction variance. ANN analysis revealed that post-adoption satisfaction is primarily attributed to smartwatches’ ability to fit with users’ identity and secondarily to its perceived fit with tasks. Nevertheless, pre-adoption choice of smartwatches is mainly guided by their functionality. This paper is the first to propose and validate an integrated task-technology-identity fit model to explain smartwatch utilization and users’ satisfaction. The originality also lies in assessing actual task-technology fit and as perceived by users. Employing two modes of analysis revealed extra insights too. Collapse

Abstract: When we were first invited to write an essay on the use of PLS for CAIS, we wanted to focus on recent developments to help applied IS researchers, and the CAIS community of authors, reviewers, and editors make use of the latest research on and methodological advances in PLS. Recognizing that Information Systems is arguably the discipline in which the use of PLS as an alternative to CB-SEM originated and is most widely used, we realized that, pragmatically, our essay must focus on how to use PLS, not whether to use PLS.We received six interesting responses from researchers active in the PLS community. Their thoughts on our presentation of recent developments in PLS show very different perspectives with many points of difference amongst points of agreement in all the responses. In this rejoinder, we briefly respond to the received comments, clarify our position and ideas, and identify points of agreement (and disagreement). We emphasize that none of the responses give us cause to revise or eliminate our recommendations in recent developments.Overall, we believe this discussion on PLS to be valuable in advancing the use of PLS in Information Systems, which is, as we show in this rejoinder, an urgent issue. Abstract: The academic community is experiencing a significant disruption thanks to a new technology called ChatGPT. There is news almost daily about how Large Language Models technologies have the potential to allow students to cheat undetected. This leads many universities to discuss ways to regulate and even ban its use. But is this necessary? The previous research focuses mainly on universities' and lecturers' views but fails to consider the students' views. Do students even want to use the system, and if they do, will they use it for nefarious purposes? Extending the Technology Acceptance Model with Perceived Ethics, this quantitative study researched how students perceive ChatGPT from an ethical perspective and how that impacted their intention to use the system for school work. 277 Students from 40 countries took part in the survey. Results indicated that Perceived Ethics has a direct positive influence on the attitude toward usage but only an indirect effect on the behavioral intention to use the system for school work. This study is one of the first to consider how students perceive ChatGPT from an ethical perspective and how that impacts their perception of and intention to use the Large Language Models technology system. Abstract: The retail industry is highly competitive and requires businesses to continuously explore and implement technological innovations that will set them apart. Adopting cryptocurrency as a payment method is one innovation that gives businesses a competitive edge. We conducted a systematic literature review based on an in-depth analysis of 28 published articles. The literature analysis shows that cryptocurrency payments adoption is a growing research area, although only a few studies have been conducted in the last decade. Our analysis of the results showed that retailers consider a few factors regarding cryptocurrency payment adoption. The considerations include the company's size, innovativeness, regulatory requirements, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attracting new customers, competitive advantage, meeting demand from existing customers, and using the technology as a marketing tool. The study's findings will be helpful to those retailers who wish to leverage cryptocurrency payments as a business tool to gain a competitive advantage. Collapse
